Wax filters are essential to keeping wax out of your hearing aids.
If the wax filters are blocked, your hearing aids will not work. Wax filters need to be changed monthly.

Important Notice: Always use the same type of wax filter as that originally supplied with the hearing aid. If you are in any doubt about the use or replacement of wax filters, contact your hearing care professional.

In the ear (ITE) wax filter:

Prowax miniFit

This wax filter is specifically designed for in the ear hearing aids

How to change a Prowax miniFit filter:

1. Tool

Remove the tool from the shell. The tool has two pins, one empty for removal and one with the new wax filter.

2. Remove

Push the empty pin into the wax filter in the speaker and pull it out.

3. Insert

Insert the new wax filter using the other pin, remove the tool and throw it away.

In the ear (ITE) wax filter:

Prowax

This wax filter is specifically designed for behind the ear hearing aids

How to change a Prowax filter:

1. Tool

Remove the tool from the shell. The tool has two pins, one empty for removal and one with the new wax filter.

2. Remove

Push the empty pin into the wax filter in the speaker and pull it out.

3. Insert

Insert the new wax filter using the other pin, remove the tool and throw it away.

4. Final

The speaker should look like above when you have replaced the wax filter.
